Kansas Late Season Pheasant Hunts
Many people don't consider going on late season pheasant hunts because they think it will be too cold. However, our area in Kansas has relatively mild winters compared to northern states and the weather is more than comfortable for hunting at this time of year. These hunts take place during February in controlled shooting areas (CSAs) which offer a number of benefits, including the opportunity to harvest more birds, as well as a cheaper license fee--just $27 versus the typical $97.50 non-resident hunting license. Season may be wrapping up around the country at this time of the year, but you still have the chance to get out on one more hunt. Come join us for a late season pheasant hunt!
European Pheasant Shoots
Tower shoots are in a class of their own! Pheasants are released from a tower flying high and fast over the hunters. The hunters are placed in a field surrounding the tower. Each hunter will face a new shooting challenge with each rotation during the hunt. The course is surrounded by timber and native grasses.
- Minimum of 8 hunters
- Morning or afternoon hunts available
- 5 birds/hunter = $125
- 10 birds/hunter = $225
- 15 birds/hunter = $335
Bring LOTS of shells!
Controlled Shooting Area (CSA) Hunts in Kansas
A Controlled Shooting Area (CSA) allows you to hunt both roosters and hens, as well as chukar. Our CSAs replicate a wild bird hunt with native grasses, timber, and crops. Many hunters give us positive comments on how our CSAs are quite similar to a native bird hunt. But the added bonus is an opportunity for lots of bird and dog action in the field! The CSA online permits are $27.50. Regular hunting licenses are not needed.
CSA hunts do NOT require a hunting license, ONLY a CSA permit.
